Ezer exists for such a time as this……
The word “ezer” comes out of Genesis 2:18.
The word “ezer” comes out of Genesis 2:18 where God defines women as the “helper and ally” this is not a subordinate role, but is warrior language and a word that God uses to define himself throughout the Bible.
The word ezer is one of identity. When there is danger, when there is a need, the “Ezer” does not turn away, but runs toward the danger, towards the problem.
At Ezer Women, we will go against what culture currently says. We will build each other up, and be the warriors God has called us to be for the Kingdom of God.
HOW IT STARTED
It started in a freshman dorm with 12 girls and a vision for how God could change our campus and the girls on it.
In February of 2023, we had the vision to create a space for women across our whole campus to feel free from the culture of comparison and competition and to be united by the love of God.
OUR STORY
It started in a freshman dorm,but it didn't stop there.
We had the vision to see every girl on our campus know Jesus and walk in community with one another, encouraging each other instead of tearing one another down, growing with one another, serving and worshipping together, and doing life together.
After dreaming about all this ministry would be, we planned and hosted our first ever event on February 15th, 2023. We had no idea what to expect, but soon were all shocked as 70 girls from across our campus flooded into the space we had created for them. The girls were so excited about what we were creating: they met new friends, were encouraged, and had faith for what God would do on our campus, and we knew that this was just the start of what God wanted to do on our campus and beyond.
From there, we started hosting monthly events, where any girl on campus could come to experience genuine community and be encouraged by the word of God and the women around them. And later launched "coffee groups" where girls are led through scripture, and they are invited into an environment to confess sin to one another, encourage on another, and do life together, linking arms and walking towards Jesus together.
OUR VISION
We want to see every woman experience this.
We recently launched at Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona and Biola University in southern California, but our vision is to see every college woman transformed by the Good news, united in Christ-centered community, and equipped through discipleship and leadership to live out their God-given purpose with lasting impact.
We want to see entire college campuses change for the glory of God across the nation, and we know that the impact doesn’t stop there.
We believe for a future where every woman knows the importance of community and discipleship- where a generation will rise up and invest in the next generation below them to see them walk fully in the calling God has on their life. We believe that family lines will change because of what God does in the lives of these women during their time in college.
We have big vision, one we believe God has placed in our hearts from that first meeting in our freshman dorm.
